Lynnette McCarty
Owner/Executive Director

Lynnette is the Owner and Executive Director of Serendipity Children's Center. She purchased Serendipity Children's Center in 1990. Since then, her facility licensed for 62 children has grown to two centers, now serving 170 children. Her dedication to the field of early care and education comes with a passion for the growth and development of young children. She has devoted her life to the industry.

Lynnette holds a BA in Business Administration. She has been in child care management for the past 25 years. She serves the National Association of Child Care Professionals (NACCP) as their past President and current Treasurer. She participates in national service due to the like-minded philosophy and mission that “strengthening the skill level of leaders in the field of early care and education will improve the quality of early care and education.” She maintains excellence and believes that a well trained staff can offer superior care and education to those we serve.

As the Executive Director of Serendipity, she inspires her staff to maintain excellence and trains nationally those who have dedicated their lives to early care and education. She is a mother of two girls, which was the reason she began her career in early education 25 years ago. Currently, she has two granddaughters attending Serendipity Children’s Center. Her energy and perseverance in the field of early education is evidenced by her commitment to the field and the continued success of Serendipity Children’s Center.
Tammy Jenkins
Director

Tammy Jenkins became the Director of Serendipity Children’s Center in 2005. She is completing her BA along with her ongoing education which includes management and leadership training. Her experience as a toddler teacher in 2002 helped prepare her with a firsthand understanding of the needs of the teachers in the classroom environment. Tammy possess a strong commitment and dedication to Serendipity’s philosophy and is passionate about her job. Tammy is sensitive and caring and her communication style is strong. Often you can find her in a classroom with the children. She has a strong sense of pride in every aspect of her job. She is committed to excellence and cares about the children and the parents we serve. Her expectations are high for herself, and she holds the standards high in keeping with Serendipity’s desire to be the best we can be. Tammy maintains our “open door” policy to insure that any need is met. As a mother with a school age boy, she is sensitive to the needs of quality care and education!
Charity Rowley
Assistant Director

Charity Rowley became Assistant Director of Serendipity Children’s Center in 2006. Her ongoing education includes management and leadership training. Charity has worked with our kindergarten, preschool and our school-age programs prior to taking on the role of assistant director. The role of assistant director includes first, offering support to the Director and second keeps an organized and smooth running office. This job is critical for a smooth running educational center. Charity has taken on this job with enthusiasm, professionalism and competence. She welcomes interaction with the families of our children. Having one small child attending Serendipity, she has the heart of not only the assistant director, but also that of a parent.
